Carl Catron

Carl Catron is a São Paulo–based freelance saxophonist, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Having formal training, Carl is a street artist that plays a mix of jazz and rock, playing anime and video game soundtracks and R&B and pop hits for everyone. Carl performed solo and led bands, like Authentic Counterfeit, a cover band that played from 2007 to '12, culminating with a tour in Italy. He was an opener for Avant & Silk in 2011 while they were on tour and as the band Carltron (2012-2013) for Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan in 2013. He also kept an online orchestra from 2018 to 2020, The Unlimited Orchestra, on YouTube that featured over 50 musicians all over the globe and where he also made arrangements. Carl's +20 years of music can be seen live on Twitch and YouTube, where he improvises with songs requested by the audience. He’s proficient on alto and baritone saxophones; his main focus and mastery are on the tenor. And there’s a bonus! Carl started to teach himself how to play keytar in 2021! His streamings have a mix of saxophone and keytar, sometimes in the same song! He organizes “The Cultural Exchange," an event with streamers from around the world, mostly music-related. Now, Carl is looking to form a band in Brazil. With all that, Carl is ready to conquer Brazilians' hearts and minds with his powerful music!
